Education Class Enrollment

scholarships available for students who demonstrate financial hardship

The Lake Wales Arts Council is excited to open our enrollment for our 2018-2019 Education Initiative. We are offering the following classes:

  • Mondays:

    • Youth Symphony

      • An ensemble class for 7th-12th grade instrumentalists who are interested in performing classical masterpieces by Mozart, Bach, and more.

    • Lake Wales Chorale

      • If you love to sing and are interested in joining the Chorale, contact us to set up a time to audition with the Director. Chorale member dues are $50 per semester. $15 for students. Music included. For more information, call the Arts Council at (863) 676-8426 or fill out the form below. A Lake Wales Arts Council Staff Member will review your form submission and contact you in a timely manner.

    Tuesdays:

    • After School Arts Camp (Tue and Thur)

      • A group class for 2nd-5th grade students who are eager to learn about the visual and performing arts. Each student will participate in painting, drawing, pottery, clay, drama, and instrumental ensemble classes. 

    • Youth Chorale

      • An ensemble class for 7th-12th grade vocalists who are interested in performing medium to advanced classical literature. 

    • Painting and Drawing

      • A group class for high school students and adults to create works of art by using techniques learned during the semester. Students will have their work exhibited at the end of each semester.

    Wednesdays:

    • Home school Arts Camp

      • A group class for 1st-8th grade students to explore all visual and performing arts. Students will participate in a wheel-style day that includes painting, drawing, pottery, clay, general music education, drama, group choir, and instrumental ensemble.  

    Thursdays:

    • Pottery and Clay

      • A group class for high school students and adults to create works of art by using techniques learned throughout the semester. Students will have their work exhibited at the end of each semester.

Classes will start on September 10th, 2018 and will end on December 4th, 2018.

Pricing is listed per semester (many classes are less than $15.00 per week!) and also available for payment plans (see below). Enrollment can be done online (see below), over the phone, or in person at The Lake Wales Arts Center. You can still enroll at a prorated amount if you are applying halfway through the semester!
